This short and easy trail was on our bucket list from the first time we visited Arches. This is located at one of the first major pull-offs in Arches. The parking is tiny, so it may be difficult to park in the Park Avenue parking lot. If that’s the case, I would recommend continuing on to the parking lot marked as Courthouse Towers. Then you can hike the trail in reverse. From Courthouse Towers, cross the road and the trail is easy to find.
The trail starts with a long staircase (that was nice of them to put that in). Then there’s a dirt trail for a short distance before dumping into a wash.
The last picture in this sequence shows the trail that leads to the Courthouse Towers parking lot.
Michelle followed the wash down a bit further, then we returned to the car. This is a very easy trail. It says primitive, but that just means there’s no ice cream shop on the way.
